Q. How long have you lived in Baldwin City and what brought you here?

A. I was working as Eudora news editor for Telegraphics in Baldwin and my husband was taking a leave of absence from his profession so we relocated to Baldwin.

Q. What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?

A. Probably assuming a managing editor position on a small weekly newspaper since it was such a rapid decision. The town needed to replace that position and were desperate to fill it to save their paper!

Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

A. Don’t make any major decisions for a year after the death of a loved one.

Q. What two things would you want people to know about you?

A. I can’t sing but can clear a room when I try! Ask me to do something else.

Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?

A. A veterinarian

Q. What’s the best way for you to get away from it all?

A. To go somewhere with a friend where I am not well known and have a quiet enjoyable meal in a relaxing restaurant and spend an evening with unscheduled activities/events.

Q. What’s your ideal vacation spot?

A. Smoky Mountains

Favorite things: Christmas season, good friends, good people and family fellowship and participating actively in some volunteer areas.

Song: “Wind Beneath my Wings” and “Amazing Grace”

Movie: Dr. Zhivago –older movie or more recent – Gran Torino.

Color: I like several colors and hues.

Food: Anything chocolate!
