BHS basketball teams sweep Iola
Baldwin — 68, Iola — 43
Garnett — Four Baldwin High players scored in double figures as the Bulldogs (3-0) crushed Iola 68-43 Tuesday. Baldwin will play in the championship of the Anderson County Invitational Friday night.
Ramie Burkhart led the team with 14 points. Myranda Behrens (13), Allison Howard (11) and Katie Kehl (10) each chipped in double-digit point totals to the win.

Garnett — Despite losing its best player during the first half, the Baldwin High boys’ basketball team won its first game of the season Tuesday. Baldwin (1-2) defeated Iola 57-42 in the second round of the Anderson County Invitational.
Baldwin’s Justin Vander Tuig left the game in the second quarter with a hand injury. He didn’t return to the contest.
Caleb Gaylord stepped up and led the Bulldogs with 16 points. Dayton Valentine, the Bulldogs’ other post player, scored 11 points in the victory.
