Mediacom optic cable cut near Baldwin Junction; service restored
The fiber-optic cable providing cable and Internet to Baldwin City has been cut again.
Mediacom spokesperson said the line had been cut near the Baldwin Junction. This time repairs were done quickly and service was restored around 3 p.m.

OMG...do we need to wrap these cable in something like titanium casing and bury them 100' deep.

And you can call 2 hours quick if you want to, but that is only by comparison to their other rates of fixing this type of problem. Funny thing, though, it went out again at 5:00 PM for no apparent reason.

Ours was not back until 5:45 PM, except for non Topeka and Kansas City Channels. Whooppee, the Weather Channel!

Haha, Quick, yes they are getting good at it, because of all the practice they have had. In other news, another good reason to live in Baldwin City city tax mill levy is up.
