Baker University rolls over Graceland 44-7
Baker University returned two interceptions for touchdowns and compiled 388 yards total offense, cruising to a 44-7 football victory over Graceland on Saturday in Lamoni, Iowa, for its fourth win in five games.
Linebacker Matt Brock and defensive end Andrew Patch both picked off two passes. They each returned an interception for touchdowns in the second quarter to provide the Wildcats with a 20-0 edge at halftime.
Quarterback Mack Brown completed 11 of 18 passes, including three touchdown tosses, for 168 yards. Tight end Aaron Rieschick had two TD receptions and Brad Fawcett had the other TD.
Running back Richie Bryant, the league leader in rushing, had 29 carries for a season-high 188 yards — his sixth consecutive 100-yard game.
The Wildcats (4-3) were closing in on their third shutout of the season until Graceland (2-5) scored with five minutes left. Baker’s defense allowed just 213 yards.
The Wildcats will play host to William Jewell at 1 p.m. Saturday at Liston Stadium.
