BHS football team crushes Chargers 62-10

CARBONDALE — Both teams may have entered Friday’s Class 4A district game here winless, but Baldwin High came away with a dominating victory. The Bulldogs scored nine touchdowns, forced six Santa Fe Trail turnovers and got their first win of the season. Baldwin (1-6) defeated the Chargers (0-7) 62-10.
BHS volleyball team wins for Bergan

Baldwin High School’s volleyball team honored former player Alex Bergan with victory Thursday night. A short celebration before the final match inspired the Bulldogs enough to go out and beat Santa Fe Trail in two games.
Bulldogs win three of four league titles

LAWRENCE — Baldwin High School’s cross country teams won three of the possible four titles at the Frontier League Championship here Thursday. The Bulldogs won both individual titles and the girls’ team championship. The BHS boys narrowly finished third behind De Soto and Gardner-Edgerton.
Maple Leaf blog: Festival crowd large once again

3:30 p.m. — Judging from the difficulty in getting around in her golf cart to various locations, Maple Leaf Committee Chair Annie France says this year’s crowd is as big as ever, despite the lack of sun and cool temperatures. The Pressgrove family’s sno-cone booth hasn’t been doing banner business, but thankfully they’re making up for it with popcorn sales.
