Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Baldwin City has a strong tradition of supporting its library, and the Friends of the Baldwin City Library would like to thank the community for their continued support of the Citywide Garage Sale, an annual event that benefits everyone who uses the library.
We appreciate everyone who participated by placing business ads and garage sale listings and those who purchased garage sale treasures on June 6. And we would like to offer special thanks to the volunteers who sold directories and handed out garage sale signs.
Through this year’s Citywide Garage Sale, the Friends of the Library raised funds to help sponsor the summer reading program, guest speakers, the BookTALK discussion program and “Night of 1,000 Stars,” and to help the library purchase new materials.
Again, thank you to everyone who supported the library by participating in this community-wide event.

To the editor:
I think one of the true indicators of how good a community is, is the volunteers who come out to help. Without these great people our town would be hard pressed to accomplish all the good things that happen in Baldwin.
With that said, I would like to thank all the people (moms, dads, and all the volunteers) who helped make this year’s summer musical a huge success. “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” was a good and positive experience for a lot of kids in town, as well as for the great audiences that came out to support the show.
I would also like to thank all our sponsors who provided all kinds of assistance for our show. These things don't happen without everyone helping, in all kinds
Once again thank you for all your support. If you want to find out more about our group, please come to our theater meetings, which are the first Mondays of each month.
