Boys, girls split games against Panthers

Baldwin — 56, Paola — 48

BALDWIN CITY — Four Bulldogs scored in double figures as the Baldwin High boys defeated Paola, 56-48, at home Tuesday night.

Baldwin used a 16-0 second half run to take command of the Frontier League contest. Brandon Tommer led the Bulldogs with 17 points. Also scoring in double figures were Clad Kueffer, Zach Wright and Justin Vander Tuig.

Girls basketball

Paola — 54, Baldwin — 36

BALDWIN CITY — A stagnant offense doomed the Baldwin High girls as they tried to hand Paola its first loss of the season. The Panthers beat the Bulldogs for the second time this season on Tuesday, winning, 54-36.

No Bulldogs scored in double digits. Allison Howard led Baldwin with eight points in the contest.
