Lack of quorum moves Baldwin City Council meeting again
For the second time in two weeks, the Baldwin City Council will not be able to have its Monday meeting because of a lack of a quorum.
Two weeks ago, Mayor Gary Walbridge could not call the meeting to order because there were only three council members present. A quorum is four members. That was going to happen again tonight, so City Administrator Jeff Dingman moved the meeting to noon Thursday at City Hall.
The only matter of business will be paying bills, said Dingman.
“I don’t have any action items ready for the council at this point,” he said.
Two weeks ago, newly-elected Council Member Mike Magers and Council Member Doyle Jardon were unable to attend. Tonight’s meeting conflicted with the schedules of Council President Amy Cleavinger and Council Member Ken Wagner.
