Baldwin High School’s boys’ track team continued to improves its times at the Kansas Relays over the weekend. While placings might not indicate great results for the Bulldogs, coach Mike Spielman and the rest of the team would disagree.

According to a recent traffic study, the Baldwin School District might not have to do as much roadwork as once believed. At the April 13 school board meeting, Supt. Paul Dorathy announced the results from Olsson and Associates.
Police seek wheelchair owner

If anyone’s missing a wheelchair, it’s at the Baldwin City Police Department. “We have found a wheelchair,” said Police Chief Mike McKenna. “It looks like it’s in good condition.”
BESIC principal job draws 61 applicants

By Monday night, one of the 61 applicants for Tom Mundinger’s job might be hired on as his replacement. Mundinger will be retiring from his post as the Baldwin Elementary School Intermediate Center principal.

BHS softball squad extends winning streak to five

Minimizing opponents’ runs and scoring at opportune moments are two main ingredients in the success formula of the Baldwin High School softball team. It might sound cliché, but sparked the Bulldogs to a five-game winning streak. Two of those five wins came against Frontier League opponent Louisburg at home Tuesday afternoon.

Brock Hartshorn wasn’t wearing ruby slippers. Nor did he click his heels three times. However, the third-year Baldwin High School baseball coach agreed there’s no place like home Tuesday evening after his Bulldogs swept Louisburg.
