School board delays bond issue decision
May 20, 2008
Baldwin School Board members missed the self-imposed deadline to decide on an upcoming bond issue at Monday's meeting. That was caused when new numbers provided raised the estimate from $22.5 million to around $24 million.
Supt. Paul Dorathy presented the new numbers to the board. Among the increases was in excess of $500,000 to build roads around the proposed new Baldwin Elementary School Primary Center. It would be located near the present Baldwin Elementary School Intermediate Center.
The board will determine what to ask voters to approve at the next scheduled meeting in June.
The Signal will update this story online and there will be a complete story in this week's issue.
