- Brock Hartshorn might have a little bit of extra motivation to win today’s doubleheader against the De Soto Wildcats. Besides being the opening game for his Baldwin High School baseball team and being the home opener, Hartshorn has extra fuel to add to his team’s fire. He used to coach the Wildcats before coming to BHS. Plus, he is former teammates with the Wildcats’ coach.

- Calling the Baldwin High School boys’ tennis team young might be an understatement. Only two of the Bulldogs’ 17 players have played tennis at the prep level for an entire year. Combine that with the fact that every player is either a freshman or sophomore and you’ve got a youthful group of Bulldogs.

For their only home meet of the year, Baldwin High School hosts the annual Baldwin Invitational at Baker University’s Liston Stadium Friday, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
