- It’s been a few years, but once again the Baldwin High School girls’ basketball team’s season came to an end at the hands of Spring Hill. The last time the Broncos beat the Bulldogs in sub-state action was 2004, which was the second straight year for Baldwin to be eliminated by Spring Hill.
- Berg bombs away at Wildcats

- Drew Berg might not be a McDonald’s All-American nominee, but he matched one point-for-point Tuesday night. During his senior campaign, Berg has led the Baldwin High School boys’ basketball team to many victories. On Tuesday, it took all 25 of his points to survive and advance from the first round of the Class 4A sub-state.
- BHS wrestlers place 10th at state meet

- Expectations were high coming into the Class 4A state tournament here, but as the weekend progressed they were dimmed for the Baldwin High School wrestling team. The Bulldogs battled the state’s best competition and left the Bicentennial Center with some positive and some negative results. Three Bulldogs medaled as BHS placed 10th as a team.

- It’s safe to say that most everyone is sick of winter. Probably at the top of the list are the people who have to clear streets and roads. It’s been one long winter for them, but at least Baldwin City crews have been able to utilize scheduling to lessen the load and they’ve still got supplies of a salt/sand mix to keep the fight up.

- Baker University has named Marvin L. Hunt as Vice President and Dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies, Baker Provost Randy Pembrook announced on Friday.
- Auditorium identified as pressing need

- Before a decision could be reached on whether or not a new auditorium was necessary for the Baldwin School District, questions had to be answered. On Feb. 19, the district’s facilities’ committee had its final meeting to decide on a recommendation to the Baldwin School Board on what should be included in a bond issue.
- State crown for Callahan

- “Finally.” That one word summed up Kevin Callahan’s career at Baldwin High School. The BHS senior screamed the word after his final high school wrestling match. He didn’t yell it because he was finished competing; instead because of what he had just accomplished. Just seconds before, Callahan won his first-ever state championship.
