BHS sweeps Wellsville

WELLSVILLE — A 12-0 run in the third quarter propelled Baldwin High to its first road victory of the season here Tuesday. The Bulldogs (3-1) defeated the Eagles 48-35.

Baldwin was once again led by senior Brandon Tommer, who scored a game-high 16 points. Sam Beecher added 11 in the victory. BHS will play Central Heights Friday at home.

Girls

Despite missing five of six free throws in the final minute of the game, Baldwin High (3-1) hung on to beat the Eagles here Tuesday, 44-41.

Baldwin senior Calleigh Durr scored a career-high 13 points to lead the Bulldogs. Junior Connor Twombly contributed nine to the win. BHS will play Central Heights Friday at home.

In junior varsity action, both BHS teams came away with victories. The JV girls won 43-14. Junior Taylor Brown scored 14 to lead the Bulldogs. Sophomore Myranda Behrens added nine points.

The JV boys were victorious, defeating the Eagles, 42-23. Junior Brandon Kraus scored 11 to lead Baldwin and sophomore Josh Hoffman added 10 points.

BHS freshman boys’ team finished the sweep of Wellsville, with a 48-22 win. Britton Schroeder scored 12 points and Clayton Duncan scored 10 points in the win.
