Thanks to a spring thunderstorm last Thursday, the once busy schedule for the Baldwin High School track teams was lightened. With one less meet to worry about, the Bulldogs were able to rest up for the Kansas Relays and Spring Hill Invitational.
Murphy-Brown reunion

A pair of 2002 Baldwin High School graduates, Eric Brown and Hugh Murphy, highlighted the Kansas Relays’ men’s javelin event. It was the first official competition between the two iconic Kansas throwers.

We were disappointed by what we saw and heard at the Baldwin City Council meeting Monday night. We are pleased that a special meeting of the Baldwin City Planning Commission Tuesday night, ordered by the council, fixed the problem and all is well.
Ball field plan will continue

Board answers city concerns

Baldwin City Council members had a first-hand look at the Baldwin School District’s facilities’ committee recommendation at Monday’s joint meeting. However, it wasn’t until after the school board members left the American Legion Hall that they took the next step in working toward a bond issue.
Spring play packs a crowd

Baldwin High School’s annual spring play went off without a hitch Friday and Saturday night. This year the students performed a version of “Alice in Wonderland.”
City, school board talk about streets

In a joint session Monday, Baldwin City Council and Baldwin School Board members discussed the possibility of modifying streets surrounding Baldwin Elementary School Intermediate Center and the new primary center if it’s built there.
