- Baker University has named Chelsey Forge the winner of the prestigious William G. McGowan Scholarship, which will provide the Baker junior $18,000 for the 2008-09 academic year.

- With its May deadline approaching, the Baldwin School Board is taking steps to make the bond issue decision easier. The first step is choosing to hire a general contractor or construction manager. However, that decision has been placed on hold until the school board’s joint meeting with the Baldwin City Council Monday night.
- BHS to stage ‘Alice in Wonderland’

- A group of Baldwin High School students will be assisting Alice to find her way home this weekend. On Friday and Saturday nights, the students will be performing in the annual BHS spring play. This year’s play is “Alice in Wonderland” and each show begins at 7 p.m. in the Baldwin Junior High School auditorium.
