Art Affair to have
annual holiday show
The Art Affair, located at Seventh and High streets, will have its annual holiday art show from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

Vinland school hosts
Grandparents' lunch
Vinland Elementary School will have its Grandparents' Luncheon at noon Tuesday. Students can invite grandparents, family members or a special guest to share a Thanksgiving meal.
A Scholastic Book Fair will be available prior to and following the lunch.


Helping Hands to
distribute food
Helping Hands Food Ministry will distribute food items from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Wellsville Family Worship Center, Sixth and Locust streets.
Bring a utility bill showing your current address. Donations and volunteers are welcome. Contact Tami Hernandez at (913) 980-9456 for information.


Ives Chapel Day
Circle schedules meeting
The Day Circle of Ives Chapel United Methodist Church will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Hall.
Dolores Kalb will lead the program and the World Thank Offering will be taken. Joy Uthoff is hostess.


Trees on display
at Liberty Hall
More than 50 decorated trees and a number of wreaths will be on display at Liberty Hall, Lawrence, Nov. 26 to 29 at the annual Festival of Trees.
The trees were donated and decorated by local businesses, community organizations and individuals. An auction will be held at 8 p.m. Nov. 27 at Liberty Hall with proceeds going to The Shelter, Inc., a nonprofit organization providing emergency services for youth in the Lawrence community.
Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Tuesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; auction begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday, doors open at 7 p.m. There is a $2 donation for viewing, children are free.


Cards, pool, Bunco
available at center
Senior citizens can participate in several activities at the Douglas County Senior Center, 1221 Indiana, Baldwin City.
There is a potluck dinner the first and third Fridays of the month at 6 p.m. followed by card playing. On the third Tuesday of the month, senior citizens can play cards from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Pool tables are available for senior citizens from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays.
Bunco is now available at 1 p.m. the last Thursday of the month for senior citizens. The center prepares nutritious meals for senior citizens weekdays, except holidays, at the center or by Meals on Wheels. Suggested donation per meal is $2.50.
Menus are found in the Almanac Calendar on page A-2 of the Signal. Reservations for meals should be made 24 hours in advance by calling 594-2409.
