Ives Chapel plans
noodle supper
The Ives Chapel United Methodist Women will serve its annual Chicken Noodle Supper at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 1018 Miami St. Community members are welcome to attend.


Friends of the Library
To have Book TALK
Friends of the Baldwin City Library will host its last in the series "Women Around the World" Book TALK sessions at 7 p.m. Nov. 8.
They will discuss "So Long a Letter" by Mariama Ba from Senegal. Discussion leader is Beverly Mack from the University of Kansas. Books may be checked out at the library.
The event is sponsored by Friends of the Baldwin City Library and the Kansas Humanities Council.


Baker series presents
Kansas City Chorale
The Artist and Lecture Series will present the Kansas City Chorale under the direction of Charles Bruffy at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the First United Methodist Church.

Baldwin City wins
in UW Weigh-In
Baldwin City beat Eudora by 220 pounds at the United Way Weigh-In where coins were collected and weighed by each school.
MidAmerica Bank in Baldwin would like to honor all the students and staff that helped collect coins for this competition by having a free movie night tonight at the Crystal Plaza in Ottawa for Baldwin City kids.

Diabetes group
to meet on Nov. 12
The November meeting of the Baldwin City Diabetes Support Group will be held on Nov. 12, at 7 p.m.
The group will meet at the Baldwin City Library to share ideas for low carb holiday cooking and eating.


Worden Church
announces events
The Senior High Youth Group will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday with Rob and Marlene Harris for a Fall Fun Night.
Steve and Ellen Peterson will share their ministry in India at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Community members are welcome to attend.


Lighthouse Church
to have guest speaker
Blake Fortner, missionary to Ethiopia, will speak at morning worship Sunday at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Community members are welcome to attend.


MOMS Club gathers
for meeting
The MOMS Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Baldwin First United Methodist Church.
Suzy Novotny, a former educator for Practical Parenting Partnership will present, "Life From a Child's Perspective." Call Beth Morford for information at 594-3302. Prospective members are welcome.


Wednesday services
include light supper
A light supper will be available before Wednesday night services at Light House Baptist Temple. Community members are welcome to attend.
