LEO FRISBY SMITH II

Graveside services and inurnment for Leo F. Smith II, 87, Baldwin City, will be at 2 p.m. April 10, 2007, at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Baldwin City. Mr. Smith died March 11, 2007, at the Ashford Place, Overland Park.

He was born March 1, 1920, at Lawrence, the son of Leo Frisby and Blanche M. (Houston) Smith. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1938 and from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's Degree.

He married Vi Masur Aug. 9, 1942. She died Dec. 22, 2001. He served during World War II in the United States Army.

He owned and operated Leo Smith's Appliance Store, Baldwin City. He became a stockbroker in 1970 and retired in 1990.

He was a member of the Lloyd Beaton Post No. 228, American Legion, Baldwin City.

Survivors include a daughter, Susie Lyon, Baldwin City; a son, Leo III, Basehor; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

His parents, his wife and two sisters, Betty Hanscom and Cynthia Swell died earlier.

Memorials may be made to the Catholic Community Hospice and sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006.
