BCAC to host
The Baldwin Community Arts Council will have its June membership meeting and potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Three Sisters Inn. Current members and those wanting to join are encouraged to come.
Those attending should bring a potluck dish of any kind, table service and lawn chairs. A brief meeting will follow the supper.
The BCAC's first Art Walk of the summer will be June 15 in downtown Baldwin City. Artists will have their wares on display and popular area singer Alonzo Beerdshear will perform in front of the Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce office. The Signal will have a story in next week's issue.
Ives Chapel circles
combine for meeting
The combined Day and Evening Circles of Ives Chapel United Methodist Church will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Convenors are Rosann Elder and Joy Uthoff. Judy McGonigle Akers is guest speaker. Community members are welcome to attend.
to distribute food
The Helping Hands group of the Wellsville Family Worship Center will distribute food from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Newcomers should bring a current utility bill to verify their address.
Helping Hands relies solely on generous donations of others. The group accepts monetary, food and baby items anytime. For information, call (913) 980-9456.

Rural Water District No. 4, Douglas County, will have its regular meeting beginning at 7 p.m., Tuesday, in the conference room of the district office.
Clearfield -- Ives youth
The Clearfield - Ives Chapel United Methodist Youth group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Clearfield United Methodist Church. Youth 6th through 12th grades are invited.
American Business Women
American Business Women's Association will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Courthouse Square Apartments, 235 S. Main, Ottawa. The program begins at 6 p.m. Contact Susan Baker for information, (785) 423-4587.
Palmyra 4-H Club
Palmyra 4-H Club parents' night meeting was called to order by Tim Horne. Angie Horne and Todd Wehrman assisted. Roll call was answered by what you would change your name to.
Song leaders were Carter Wintermantel and Grace Baxter. Allie Scherger led recreation. Meeting adjourned with the pledge and motto.
