Artist and Lecture Series
begins its season
The Baker University Artist and Lecture Series will feature guitarists Tommy Emmanuel and Stephen Bennett as the 2007-2008 season openers at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in Rice Auditorium.
Season tickets and individual event tickets are available at the Baker University business office, Baldwin State Bank and Kansas State Bank. Contact Susan Buehler, director of the Artist and Lecture Series, at 594-8421 or sbuehler@bakeru.edu for information.
Other events include Andrew Klein, the Kansas City Chorale, CelloRondo, City in Motion, and Bob Reiss, global warming expert, whose appearance will be in conjunction with the public showing of "An Inconvenient Truth." All series events begin at 7:30 p.m. and the doors open at 7 p.m.


Enrollments accepted
by music lab
Enrollments for the fall semester in piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, trombone, sax, clarinet, trumpet, voice and guitar at the Music Lab School at Baker University are being accepted.

Coal Creek Library
has air conditioning
Coal Creek Library, Vinland, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sundays through October and is now equipped with air conditioning.
The library can be open by appointment by contacting Martha Smith, 594-3960.
