Consultant to deliver community center feasibility study
A consultant hired by the city, school district and recreation commission to do a feasibility study for a possible community center will present his findings at a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the school district office.
Jeff King of Ballard-King Associates started the study about eight months ago. King used a 10-mile radius of Baldwin for the study. City Administrator Jeff Dingman said at this point it's just a study.
"This report will explain the size of the facility that is needed, what types of programming it would house and how much it might cost to build and operate," said Dingman. "At this point, it is a study of feasibility only. There is, as of yet, no specific site proposed for such a facility."
There will be a story in Thursday's Signal of the study's findings in addition to updates on-line.
