Weather closes Baldwin City schools early

November 29, 2006

Wednesday's wintry mixture of weather has forced an early dismissal for schools in Baldwin City.

Supt. Paul Dorathy drove roads in the area and the determination was made to close schools at 2:15 p.m. today. Rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow have fallen in Baldwin since this morning.

City crews began spreading sand on the streets around 2 p.m. Roads were reported to be slick.

The Baldwin City Signal will update this story on-line as more information, including the status of school Thursday, becomes available.
