A. LAVERNE KAMPSCHROEDER

Funeral services for A. LaVerne Kampschroeder, 89, Edgerton, were Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Gardner. Mr. Kampschroeder died May 16, 2006, at Royal Terrace, Olathe.

He was born May 19, 1916, at Clinton, the son of William Henry and Effie Florence (Kennedy) Kampschroeder. He was a dairy farmer and raised hogs, beef and crops. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, and later the First Presbyterian Church, Gardner. He served on the cemetery board, the Clinton School Board and the Dairy Pure Milk Producers Association Board. He was a 4-H leader and served on the Douglas County Extension Board.

He married Myrtle Kingery May 22, 1937. She died in 1992.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his children, Larry, Lenexa, and Wanda Whaley, Baldwin City, seven grandsons and 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Clinton Cemetery, Clinton. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, or Gardner, and sent in care of Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS 66030.
