BHS sweeps state titles

For the third time in the last four years, the Baldwin High School cross country teams have swept the Class 4A State Championships Saturday at Wamego. “It was really good,” coach Mike Spielman said. “Last year we got second and it was a really good race for us, but we just felt that little bit of let down that we didn’t win both. It was nice to have that feeling back again.”

After jumping out to a 28-0 lead, the Baldwin High School football team hung on to beat the archrival Eudora Cardinals 35-20 Thursday to win the district crown at Liston Stadium.
Bulldogs advance to next round with easy win

After lighting up the scoreboard with 49 points midway through the second quarter of the Class 4A state playoff game, the Baldwin High School team rested its starters during most of Tuesday night’s 49-28 win over Prairie View at Liston Stadium.
BHS girls run away with championship

WAMEGO — It was back on the winning track for the Baldwin High School girls’ cross country team as it won back its Class 4A State Championship Saturday here. The Bulldogs were able to win the state title for the third time in the last four years. They finished second to Clay Center a year ago.
