Rainbow to have
Easter Egg Hunt
An Easter Egg Hunt will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday on the Baker University campus. There will be games, egg hunts, clowns, raffles and prizes. The hunt is sponsored by Rainbow Experience Preschool and Mid America Bank.


KASB to present
budget legislation
Kansas Association of School Board representatives will present the Kansas Legislature budget proposals at 7 p.m. Monday at the Baldwin School District office. The public is encouraged to attend.


Annual tree give away
is set for Saturday
The environmental service organization at Baker University, Earth We Are, will have a tree give-away on Saturday. The trees will be located between the Post Office and Lumberyard on High Street beginning around 8 am.
The trees will range from 12 inches to 6 feet tall, but will have a strong healthy root system. Earth We Are does ask for a donation of $2 per tree to cover the cost of transporting the trees.
Several of the larger trees will be donated to the Baldwin City Tree Board to be used during the Arbor Day tree planting ceremony. Arbor Day ceremonies will be held in Baldwin City this year on Saturday, April 16 and will be at the city park located at 11th and High at 9 a.m.


First UM Church
announces schedule
The First United Methodist Church has announced its services for Holy Week. Today, Maundy Thursday -- 7 p.m. March 25, Good Friday Prayer Vigil, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 27, Easter Services -- 7:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship, 8:30 a.m. Breakfast, 10:45 a.m. Traditional Worship.
