Baldwin graduates question alcohol, drug survey results

Both Baker University and Baldwin High School had their commencement ceremonies over the weekend. BHS graduated 101 students Saturday morning, and Baker graduated about 600 students Sunday afternoon.
Baker tracksters headed for nationals

Sophomore Brett Weir of Topeka qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Track Championship on Saturday, completing the list of Baker University qualifiers.
BHS softball season comes to an end

The Baldwin High School softball team ended its regular season play by snagging two victories from Osawatomie last week, but fell in the opening round of regional play Monday to put an end to the entire season.
BHS golfer qualifies for state

Monday, the Baldwin High School golf team finished sixth at the Class 4A Regional Golf Tournament at Garnett. The Bulldogs did have one state qualifier, junior Derek Couch, who shot an 83 to qualify.
BHS boys third at league track meet

The Baldwin High School boys track placed third overall with 72 points at the Frontier League Track Meet Friday. The Bulldogs finished behind second place Paola by three points. In first place was Gardner-Edgerton with 119 team points.
Bulldog baseball falls in regional finals

It was a case of almost for the Baldwin High School baseball team Wednesday night in Class 4A Regional play. The Bulldogs beat Louisburg 5-4 to advance to the tourney finals, but then fell to Santa Fe Trail 12-2 to end the season.
BHS tennis qualifies three for state

The Baldwin High School boys tennis team competed at regionals Monday at the BHS courts and three of its members advanced to the state tournament this weekend in Topeka.
BHS girls dominate league track meet

The Baldwin High School girls track team dominated the Frontier League meet on Friday. The meet was originally scheduled for Thursday, but was postponed because of storms. The Bulldogs won the meet by a landslide with 150 points, with Gardner-Edgerton placing second with 90.5 and Eudora third with 74.5. This is the third consecutive year the Bulldogs have won league. Eight out of the past 10 years they have won the conference title.
