Letter to the editor
To whom it may concern:
I am sorry you had to work in the dark when you stole the geese from our front yard. You overlooked the four goslings and the birdbath.
If you will return for them during the daylight hours, we would like to thank you for taking them off our hands. They were a gift from friends and I am sure they appreciate your thieving efforts as much as we do.
If they are a gift for family and friends, I hope they enjoy them as much as we have, and your conscience makes you as miserable as the joy you would feel in giving an honest gift.
I hope the day comes when something you prize is stolen from you and you will feel the anger and frustration we felt when we discovered them missing.
