Funeral services for Tina Marie Maxwell Brown Fratiello, 38, Baldwin City, were Tuesday at Light House Baptist Church, Baldwin City. Mrs. Fratiello died Feb. 5, 2004, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City.

She was born Sept. 18, 1965, at Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Clarence L. Maxwell and Ruby Marie (Rogers) Bushnell. She was raised in the Raymore-Peculiar area and moved to Baldwin City in 1980. She attended Baldwin High School. She worked in many retail establishments and was recently manager of the Baldwin Taco Bell.

She married Terry Fratiello June 24, 1997, at Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Kevin Brown and his fiance, Mary Brooks, and Brian Brown, both of Baldwin City; one stepson, Chris Fratiello and one step daughter, Cassie Fratiello, both of Baldwin City; her mother, Ruby Bushnell, Kansas City; her step father, Ron Hibner, Lawrence; three brothers, Robert Maxwell and James Maxwell, both of Kansas City, and Shane Maxwell, Topeka; one step brother, Gary Disque; two sisters, Lisa Robenett and Shelly Brown, all of Grove, Okla., and one step sister, Shannon Shackelford, Lawrence.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Maxwell, and her grandparents.

Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City. Memorials may be made to the Tina Marie Maxwell Brown Fratiello Memorial Fund and sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006.


Funeral services for Marie Doris Fleer Eberhart Sass, 75, Lima, Ohio, were Tuesday at Worden United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sass died Feb. 5, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, Ohio.

She was born Aug. 21, 1928, at Worden, the daughter of Lucas Benjamin and Edna N. (Stewart) Fleer. She graduated from Baldwin High School and attended Emporia State Teacher's College. She taught in a small Kansas town, then moved to Lima, Ohio, in 1951. She volunteered for the Toledo Zoological Society, Al-Anon and St. Rita's Medical Center. She was a den mother and served as a census worker and poll worker for many years.

She was a member of the Lima Community Church of the Nazarene and Lima Friends of the Library.

She married Noah Everett Eberhart in 1947. They later divorced. She married George "Bud" Sass at Toledo. He died in1992.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Fleer, and two grandchildren, Aaron and David Eberhart.

Survivors include her first husband, Noah Eberhart, Baldwin City; three sons, Bruce Eberhart, Lima, Ohio, David Eberhart, Kennett Square, Penn., and Michael Eberhart, Plano, Texas; a daughter, Jan Rudolph, Lima, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Worden Cemetery, Worden. Memorials may be made to Worden United Methodist Church and sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, PO Box 1260, Lawrence, KS 66044.
