Graveside services for Geraldine "Jerry" Daetwiler, 79, Baldwin City, were March 6, 2004, at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City. Mrs. Daetwiler died March 4, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 23, 1924, at McFarland, the daughter of Edward Bryan and Anna (Smith) Murray. She attended the first years of school in McFarland, then moved to Los Angeles, Calif. She returned to Herington and graduated from high school in 1942.
She married Lauren E. Daetwiler Oct. 11, 1943, at Yuma, Ariz. They moved to Ramona in 1947, where they lived for 35 years. They moved to Camdenton, Mo., when they retired and lived there for 20 years. They moved to Baldwin City in 2002.
She was baptized in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Ramona in 1955. She then became a member of the Hope Lutheran Chapel of Osage Beach.
Survivors include her husband Lauren of the home, two sons, Dennis R. Daetwiler and his wife, Justine, Monticello, Ind., Loren E. Daetwiler and his wife, Gail, Niceville, Fla.; one daughter, Linda Ann Lawrenz, Baldwin City; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and one sister, Lila Mae Blough, and her husband, Bruce, Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jay Murray.
