Bird club to see
Boyds Spain trip
The Baldwin Bird Club will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. today in the multipurpose room of the Baldwin Elementary School Primary Center, 700 Chapel. The November meeting will be "Birdwatching in Spain" presented by Roger Boyd, professor of biology at Baker University.
Boyd and his wife Jan had the opportunity to spend the Fall 2002 semester in England. The Boyds traveled there with five students from Baker to teach in residence at the Harlaxton Manor for the semester. They had the opportunity to travel to southwestern Spain at the end of the semester. The areas visited included Seville, El Rocio and the Donana Wildlife Area and the drier grasslands to the north of Seville.
The presentation will be digital images in PowerPoint format and should be of interest to a diverse audience. We will also talk about recent sightings in the Baldwin area.
The meeting is open to the public and we invite you to attend. If you have any questions contact Boyd at 594-3172 or Katharine Kelley at 594-6857.
