Funeral services for Margaret Carlisle Heinrich Walbridge, 79, Baldwin City, were Saturday at Ives Chapel United Methodist Church, Baldwin City. Mrs. Walbridge died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Baldwin Care Center.

She was born March 20, 1923, in Vinland, the daughter of Carl and Alma Faye (Hoskinson) Heinrich. She grew up in Vinland and graduated from Vinland High School. She also attended beauty school.

She was a beautician before working at the Baldwin Ledger, where she was employed for many years. She then worked at Kansas Color Press until she retired. She was a member of Ives Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Johnson, Baldwin City; three stepsons, Gary Walbridge and Ron Walbridge, both of Baldwin City, and Don Walbridge, Lenexa; a brother, Harold Heinrich, Gainesville, Fla.; a granddaughter; three step-granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Vinland Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Margaret Walbridge Memorial Fund, sent in care of Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, PO Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006.


Funeral services for Jeremy David Abbo, 19, Topeka, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lowman United Methodist Church, Topeka. Mr. Abbo died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.

He was born Feb. 24, 1983, in Lawrence and was adopted by Gordon and Anne Seiser Abbo on March 2, 1983. He was a student at Topeka West and Kaw Area Technical School. He was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church, the German Club and had been a wrestler.

Survivors include his mother, Anne Abbo, Topeka; his father, Dr. Gordon E. Abbo, Melbourne, Fla.; one brother, Ben Abbo, Lawrence; one sister, Deborah Abbo, Baldwin City; grandparents, Barbara Seiser, Des Moines, Iowa; Jean Seiser, Ames, Iowa; Milton Seiser and Evelyn Johnston, Des Moines, Iowa; Gisela and Walter Halbasch, Antioch, Calif.; Dr. Fred and Dr. Eva Abbo, LaJolla, Calif.

Visitation is from noon to 9 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be private.
