BERNARD LEE TAYLOR
Funeral services for Bernard Lee Taylor, 57, Baldwin City, were Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Baldwin City. Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, April 24, 2002.
He was born Jan. 10, 1945, in Gardner, the son of Frances E. (Johnston) and Thomas R. Taylor. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1965.
He married Burdine M. Twichell August 7, 1966, at the First United Methodist Church, Baldwin City. They lived on a farm south of Worden before moving to Baldwin City in 1986.
He was a master builder and owner of Taylor Made Remodeling. He also worked for Associated Building, Paola.
He was a member of the Witness Band and the Sonflower Lay Witness group. He attended New Life Assembly of God Church, Baldwin City.
Survivors include his wife, Burdine, of the home; two sons, Eugene T. Taylor and Dean R. Taylor, both of Baldwin City; one daughter, Janine K. Taylor, Olathe; his mother, Frances E. Taylor, Wellsville; one brother, Harold Taylor and his wife, Carol, Wellsville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Taylor.
The family suggests memorials to the Bernard Taylor Memorial Fund, to be designated at a later date, and sent in care of Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, PO Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006
CASSIDY LEE GUENTHER
Graveside services for Cassidy Lee Guenther, infant daughter of Kyle R. Guenther and Jamie Lee Ramskill, both of Baldwin City, were Friday at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery.
Cassidy was stillborn Monday, April 22, 2002, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center, Topeka.
Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents, James and Donna Ramskill, Techuseh; paternal grandparents, David and Debbie Guenther, Baldwin City; maternal great-grandparents, Gilbert and Audrey Singleton, Topeka and paternal great-grandmother, Gladys Walters, Lawrence.
The family suggests memorials to the Cassidy Lee Guenther Memorial Fund, sent in care of Kaw Valley State Bank, 1110 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66608.
BEATRICE ANNA WASSON
Funeral services for Beatrice Anna Wasson, 88, Garden City, were Tuesday at the First Christian Church of Garden City. Mrs. Wasson died Friday, April 26, 2002, at the Homestead Assisted Living Residence in Garden City.
She was born March 19, 1914, in Vinland, the daughter of Barrett and Stella (Hoskinson) Andrews. Her family moved to Pierceville when she was nine years old.
She married Lawrence O. Wasson Nov. 24, 1934, at Garden City. He died Sept. 21, 1976.
Survivors include two sons, a daughter, three brothers and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. Memorials may be left to the First Christian Church or Vinland Cemetery Association and sent in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. Seventh, Garden City, KS 67846.
