There’s no business like show business, at least according to the cast of “Annie Get Your Gun.” After a week of performances, Kathy Davis, the musical’s producer, said the Baldwin City Theatre production has been a success. “They’ve just been going great,” Davis said of the performances. “They get increasingly better each night.” The 11th annual summer theater production, “Annie Get Your Gun,” is the tale of Annie Oakley, who joins Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show and falls in love with Frank Butler, the star of the traveling show. The musical features several of Irving Berlin’s songs including “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Anything You Can Do” and “You Can’t Get a Man With a Gun.” The production, which is directed by Dan O’Connell, features a variety of characters played by people from Baldwin and the surrounding areas including Terry Thoelke, Gardner, who plays the lead role of Annie Oakley and Jeff Darrington who plays her love interest, Frank Butler.
