DORIS FERN BLEVINS
Funeral services for Doris Fern Blevins, 78, Eudora, were Friday at Eudora United Methodist Church. Mrs. Blevins died July 23, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 8, 1924, at Baldwin, the daughter of Earle and Edith (Newland) Lederer. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1942.
She married George A. Blevins Aug. 21, 1943, at Baldwin. She was kitchen manager for the Eudora School District from 1962 to 1972. She had lived in Eudora since 1951.
She was a member of the Eudora Methodist Church and EHU Homemakers in Bellview.
Survivors include her husband, George, of the home; two sons, George R. Blevins, Lawrence and Gordon Blevins, Topeka; one daughter, Gloria Jacob, Lawrence; two sisters, June Pine, Lawrence, and Thelma Randel, Baldwin City; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

DOUGLAS RAY FAIRCHILD
Douglas Ray Fairchild, 41, Anchorage, Alaska, died July 19, 2002 of a heart attack. Mr. Fairchild was cremated. Private memorial services will be at a later date.
He was born June 2, 1961, at Ottawa, the son of Doug Lawson and Dottie (Brecheisen) Bethell. He grew up in the Baldwin City and Wellsville areas until moving to Alaska in 1991.
He was a carpenter and was in a country rock band that once played in Kansas.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his mother and her husband, Dottie Bethell and Steven Signaigo, Ottawa; adopted father, Kenneth Fairchild, Vermillion; a sister, Sissy Thompson, Ottawa, and her husband, Tommy; a grandmother, Mary Louise Lawson, Maryville, Tenn.; a nephew and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Doug Lawson; grandparents, Ray and Oma Brecheisen, Sam Lawson and a niece.

DOROTHEA E. FLORY
Funeral services for Dorothea E. Flory, 90, Baldwin City, were Monday at St. John's United Methodist Church of Christ, Worden. Mrs. Flory died July 25, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 23, 1912, at Worden, the daughter of William and Louisa (Young) Schwarz. She attended school in the Globe community. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Worden.
She married Arley Flory on Sept. 9, 1938, at Fairview, Mo. They lived south of Lawrence. They moved to Vintage Park, Baldwin City, in 2001.
Survivors include her husband, Arley; one son, Dennis Flory, Lawrence; one daughter, Darlene Ann Bard, Olathe; a sister, Erna Holmes, Baldwin City; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
