Masons sponsor
band students

Palmyra Lodge No. 23, A.F. & A.M. and Scottish Rite Bodies of the Valley of Lawrence are sponsoring two Baldwin High School Band students at the 19th Annual Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band Camp being held on the campus of Pittsburg State University. The camp will be July 2327. Will Cooper, Baldwin High School Band Director, and selected band members Thomas Curtis and Jeremy Ferguson will attend.

The highlight of the camp will be the performance of the band during the half-time show at the Kansas East-West Shrine Bowl Game at Carnie Smith Stadium July 27. The band will also lead the Shrine Parade on July 27 in downtown Pittsburg and perform in the pre-game and half-time festivities at the game. The band will perform at the Shrine Bowl Banquet July 26.

This is the first time Baldwin High School band students have been chosen to attend this camp. It is a tremendous opportunity and learning experience for the students.
