BJHS eighth graders
compile early 1-3 record
Baldwin Junior High School's eighth-grade varsity basketball team has put together a 1-3 record during the early part of the season.
The lone victory was a 45-15 blasting of Prairie View on Jan. 10. Losses have been to Wheatridge (53-36), Eudora (41-32) and Wellsville (41-29).
"Our team defense was outstanding against Prairie View," said coach Ahman Reaka. "Every single player on our team came out and made it a goal to not let Prairie View score. Offensively, we still struggled a bit, but hopefully we can snap out of our offensive rut."
