BPW features
local business woman

The Baldwin Business and Professional Women organization's January meeting featured Christy Carlisle from C Designs. She discussed how she became interested in the floral design business after pursuing several other careers, including robotics design and retail business. She credits her successes to her sense of adventure and determination and support

from her family. Expanding her business and possibly building a new building in Baldwin with several studios is her next goal. During Christy's presentation she designed a floral arrangement and one of the members received it as a door prize.

In the business portion of the meeting several applications for BPW Kansas Scholarships were reviewed. The group voted to sponsor Natalie Moreau and Claire Kueffer for state scholarships.

The next meeting will be Feb. 5 at Vintage Park dining room at 6:30 p.m. Annie France will be the "Women in business" presenter. Call 594-3832 for BPW information.
