The Baker University Wildcat women took a pair of victories during action last week. The Wildcats started by beating Central Methodist 75-58 at home on Thursday and followed that with a 74-60 win over Avila on Saturday.

It was a tale of two teams as the Baldwin High School Bulldogs finished fourth in the 33rd Annual Baldwin Invitational Tournament last week.

As strengths go, it’s pretty obvious that the Baldwin High School wrestling team has its biggest in duals. The Bulldogs proved that last week with a pair of one-sided home dual victories Thursday and followed that with a second-place showing in the Washburn Rural Championship Duals Saturday.

Snow finally falls on Baldwin

The first real snow of winter hit Friday in Baldwin and brought out the road crews and residents to try to clear streets, parking lots and sidewalks. About three inches of snow, which began falling Friday afternoon, accumulated in Baldwin.
