Students from 123 Kansas cities, as well as 20 states and nine foreign countries are candidates for graduation from Emporia State University. Included are Karl E. Bowersox, B.S., Christopher Andrew Rose, B.S.E., Bradley C. Tennant, B.S.E., all from Baldwin City.

Free training classes

held for foster parents

Keen receives All

American nomination

The 52nd National Holstein Junior All American contest, sponsored by Holstein World and Holstein Association USA, has the nomination of "Bluebae Lucky Charm" in the Spring Yearling class. She is owned by Kalli Keen, Baldwin City, a 10 year 4-H member of Pioneers 4-H Club.

Extension specialists

discuss no-till

"Improving Your No-Till Management" will be the topic of a meeting Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at Heritage Tractor, Inc., east of Baldwin City. The meeting is sponsored by K-State Research and Extension and is free. Ray Lamond, KSU Extension Soil Fertilizer Specialist, Gary Kilgore, KSU Extension Southeast Area Agronomist, and Doug Jardinc, KSU Extension State Leader in Plant Pathology, will lead discussions. Pittsburg State University has announced its list of eligible fall graduates. Area residents who are eligible to participate in graduation are Jeff Stuart, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stuart, Baldwin City, and Jesse Lee Heberling, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ron Heberling, Overbrook.
