Vinland artist well-known for his work

Steven Graber took an odd route to become a nationally and internationally known artist. Graber was born in Newton and his parents brought him up in the traditional Mennonite way. He graduated from the University of Redlands in California in 1972 with a degree in history. After a four-year stint in the Navy, he went into a sales career. But at the age of 33, he decided he wanted more out of life. That’s when he started to draw. From that point on, it’s a storybook tale of the rise of an unknown to now being featured in art galleries in New York, San Francisco, New Orleans and around the world.
