Auxiliary to meet
American Legion Auxiliary will meet Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the Legion Hall. Refreshments will be served at 1:30 p.m. and the business meeting will begin at 2 p.m.
Ives Chapel UMW
schedule noon meeting
The Ives Chapel United Methodist Women will resume luncheon/program meetings beginning Sept. 19 at noon in Fellowship Hall. Karin Constantinescu will host. Avis Hobson is in charge of the program.
Association to have
election of board
The annual election for board members of the Vinland Fair Association and the comment session on the recent fair are scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday at the Vinland Fairgrounds. Community members may participate in the election and the comment session.
The three board positions for three-year terms will be filled during the election. Board positions to be filled are presently held by Jerry and Jean Moore, Joe and Lorri Hoelscher and Allen and Karla Osborn. All are eligible for re-election.
Gibson, Tommer are
Citizens of the Week
Riley Gibson and Brandon Tommer have been selected as Citizens of the Week at Baldwin Elementary School.
Gibson, 10, is in Kathy Dorsey's fifth-grade class. He is the son of Jerelyn Runnels and has one brother, Zeb. His friends include Sam, Brandon, Connor and Carson. His hobbies are football, swimming and skateboarding.
Tommer,11, is in Kathy Dorsey's fifth-grade class. He is the son of Selena Gillispie and has one sister, Alexis. His friends include Riley, Sam, Connor and William. His hobbies are four-wheeling, riding bikes and football.
Art Walk moved
to new date
The final Art Walk of the year has been moved from Sept. 21 to Friday, Sept. 28 between 7 and 9 p.m. Local artists and their works will be featured in several businesses and along the sidewalks in downtown Baldwin. It's "Cuppa Java" night and coffee, tea or lemonade in hand-thrown pottery mugs or hand-decorated latte cups and dessert will be available for $6.
