ERNEST SINK

Funeral services for Ernest Sink, 85, Ottawa, were Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, Ottawa. Mr. Sink died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 13, 1915 at Pomona, the son of John Henry Sink and Laura Ellen (Bean) Sink. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, moving from Pomona to the Baxter community in 1942. He graduated from Pomona High School in 1937 and was a farmer and stockman.

He was a member of Aerie Lodge #2700 Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa, and Ottawa Lodge #803 Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

He married Iva Mae Bethurum at Harrisonville, Mo. on Oct. 31, 1942. She died on Sept. 29, 1973. He married Betty Brooks on Nov. 7, 1974. They later divorced. He married Marion Vanderslice at Crystal Beach, Texas, on June 9, 1996. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers, James Earl Sink and Claude John Sink.

Survivors include a son, John Lee Sink, Ottawa; a daughter, Lola Mae Broers, Wellsville; a brother, Vern Sink; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

LYNETTE RASMUSSEN

Funeral services for Lynette Rasmussen, 44, Lawrence, were Friday at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Lawrence. Mrs. Rasmussen died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001 at her home.

She was born July 9, 1957, the daughter of Allen Vick and Elaine (Leonard) Vick in Lawrence. She attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Kansas University. She married Rune Rasmussen on July 10, 1993 in Wichita. He survives.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church and formerly Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Wichita.

Survivors include a son, Nikolas Rasmussen, of the home; two daughters, Nicole Margheim and Kristina Rasmussen, both of the home; a brother, Kevan Vick, Lawrence; two sisters, Shari Raybern, Lawrence and Ardie Meadows, Topeka, and her parents, Allen and Elaine Vick, Baldwin City.

She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.
