School Board approves negotiations
In a special meeting Tuesday night, the Baldwin Board of Education approved teacher negotiations.
After meeting in executive session for about 35 minutes, the board approved 5-0 to accept changes in salary including a raise in the negotiable index from 1.73 to 1.77 by changing the percentages in the salary schedule from 1.49 percent to 2.235 percent.
Base salary was also increased $110 from $27,374 to $27,484.
Also included in the agreement were the positions of high school journalism adviser, junior high head football coach, junior high assistant football coach, high school head baseball coach and high school assistant baseball coach being added to the supplemental salary schedule.
The board also accepted resignations from Gilbert Osburn, J.C. Sterling and Julie Anderson.
A contract was also approved for Nick Harris as the new sixth grade science teacher.
