Hobson addresses issues

July 25, 2001

To the Editor:

I didn't think I would resurface so soon but I want to state a few things in response. The position someone holds does not impress anyone, what they accomplish and how they do it is what impress people. I got quite a few good comments from my letter being written. Some say that they all sit at home complaining about things but don't have the guts to say it in public.

I feel Chief Butell could run a very good police department if he had his hands free or some other reason.

I want to thank Mr. Paine for his conversation with me and his mannerly way of talking to me and explaining what I asked of him. He didn't try to be a smart aleck about it. He was very nice and I appreciated it. I would say if anyone had any questions, go to Mr. Paine and I am sure he would be as nice.
