MARGARET A. HAY
Funeral services for Margaret A. Hay, 60, Irving, Texas, were Monday at the Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Baldwin City. Mrs. Hay died Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at the Parkland, Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.
She was born June 27, 1940 in Rinard, Iowa, the daughter of Howard E. and Bertha May (Pashia) Johnston. She graduated from Baldwin City High School in 1959.
She was employed at Hallmark Cards, Lawrence, and later worked at a daycare service for Dr. Pendelton in Baldwin City. She was owner/operator of Margaret's Daycare, Irving, Texas for thirty years. She was a member of the Plymouth Park Methodist Church, Irving, Texas.
She married Warren Dean Hay on June 19, 1969 in Enid, Okla. They were married for thirty-one years.
Mrs. Hay was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Hay, Irving, Texas; one step-son, Byron Hay, North Richland Hills, Texas; three step-daughters, Brenda Brown, Valley View, Texas, Becci Olson, Suffex, Wis. and Barbara Pluhar, Pendleton, Ind.; two sons, Bradley Hay, Irving, Texas and Bryan Hay, Irving, Texas; one daughter, Belinda Hay, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Dora Wicklandor, Gowrie, Iowa and Lillian Johnston, Baldwin City; two brothers, Jack Walls, Mineral Point, Mo., and Clarence Johnston, San Marcos, Calif.; ten grandchildren; two aunts and several cousins.
