The Baldwin Junior High School administration would like to add another sport during the fall months. Baldwin High School wrestling coach Kit Harris told the Baldwin Board of Education Monday night there was a lot of interest in starting a BJHS wrestling program.
Preschool may be closed

On a normal day at the Rainbow Preschool, children paint, read stories, play games and work on arts and crafts. That’s how it’s been for 40 years. But all of that is now in jeopardy. After spending most of its existence at the First United Methodist Church, the Rainbow Preschool needs to find somewhere else to go soon.
Police chief, three officers suspended

Baldwin City Police Chief Steve Butell and three officers have been suspended as a result of the Bennett Investigation conducted this summer into allegations brought against a former officer, which revealed a variety of shortcomings in the department, sources say.
