Christmas Tea served Dec. 10

A Christmas Tea at Collins House, 505 Eighth Street, is held in conjunction with the Holiday Homes tour from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. However, one need not have a ticket from the homes tour to attend the free tea. The tea is sponsored by the Baldwin Community Arts Council.

A Franklin County District Court judge asked for more information from the Kansas Municipal Energy Association, a group of KMEA member cities including Baldwin City and the Board of Public Utilities during a summary judgment hearing last Tuesday, and the hearing will continue at 1 p.m. today in Ottawa.

Since the age of four, the violin has brought much enjoyment to Baldwin High School sophomore Kate Lammers. “Music is a big part of my life,” Lammers said. “Most all my extra-curricular activities are based around music.”
