At college in Michigan all I ever hear about is how great the Big Ten is, and how the Tigers are going to win the pennant. So when I make a trip home it is always good to cleanse myself of that gibberish and catch some local sports games.

Funeral services for Bonnietta Fern Anderson, 58, Baldwin City, were Sunday, May 28, 2000 at the Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Ottawa, She died May 25, 2000 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Cremation followed the services and a private family burial will follow at a later date in the Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Noonan siblings bring home three golds

It was a gold day for Matt and Megan Noonan at the state track meet in Wichita Saturday. Matt won both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs, while his sister also brought home the first-place medal in the 3,200.
