Jump starting the offense has become a necessity for the Baldwin High School softball team. The Bulldogs split a doubleheader here Thursday when they fell behind in both games, almost pulled the first out and blasted their way back for the win in the nightcap
BHS basketball awards are announced

Baldwin High School basketball coach Bobby Taul brought his squad together Sunday to recognize the team for its accomplishments this year. A third-place finish at the state tournament was at the top of the list.
Free’ zoo admission adds up fast

We went to the St. Louis Zoo over the weekend. There were others reasons for driving across Missouri, but a zoo with free admission was at the top of my list.

A memorial service for Jana Margene Lawrence, 57, Baldwin City, will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at her home in Baldwin City. Cremation is planned.

Services for Lola B. Hayes Grammer, 81, Baldwin City, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Washington Creek Church of the Brethren. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Graveside services for Evelyn W. Kinzer, 100, Greeley, Colo., were Friday in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City. Funeral services were April 26, 2000 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, Longmont, Colo.
