April 2000 Calendar for Baker University

Through April 7: "The 2000 International Orton Cone Box Show," 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday through Friday, Holt-Russell Gallery in Parmenter Hall.

April 6-8 and 13-15: A play: "Jake's Women," performed by Baker students, 7:30 p.m., Darby-Hope Theatre.

April 6: Chamber music night, 7:30 p.m., Collins House.

April 6: The Third Annual Baker University Invitational Pre-Festival Band Clinic, 8 a.m., Rice Auditorium.

April 8: Kansas State High School Activities Association Regional Solo and Small Ensemble Festival, 8 a.m., in the Owens Musical Arts Building, Rice Auditorium, Harter Union, and Mulvane, Mabee and Parmenter halls.

April 11: Music Forum, 11 a.m., McKibbin Recital Hall in Owens Musical Arts Building. Student performer is announced the day of the event.

April 18: Chris Grubb Scholarship Jazz Concert, 7:30 p.m., Harter Union Dining Room. The Baker jazz ensemble will perform and donations will be accepted for the Grubb Scholarship fund.

April 18-28: Undergraduate Juried Art Show opening, 7:30 p.m., Holt-Russell Gallery, Parmenter Hall. Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday through Friday.

April 19: Speech Festival and Forensics Showcase, 7 p.m., A-V Room in the Owens Musical Arts Building.

April 25: Music Forum, 11 a.m., McKibbin Recital Hall in Owens Musical Arts Building. Student performer is announced the day of the event.

April 27: Orchestra Spring Concert, 7:30 p.m., McKibbin Recital Hall in the Owens Musical Arts Building.

April 30: Spring Vespers, 7:30 p.m., Rice Auditorium.

April 30: Eighth Annual Baker Wetlands Field Day, 2 to 4 p.m., Baker Wetlands. Enter area through east gate of wetlands (0.5 mile south of 31st Street on 1055, Lawrence).
